Voiceglobe Belgium to participate at the 2nd Workshop on IMS Enabled Converged Networks
Voiceglobe Belgium to participate at 2nd Workshop on "IMS Enabled Converged Networks - New paradigms for services delivery", jointly organized by PII and VITAL EU IST projects, which it takes place on 12 September 2008 and hosted by LIP6, UPMC Paris Universitas (Laboratoire d'Informatique de Paris 6, 106 Avenue du President Kennedy 75016 Paris).
The purpose of this workshop is to openly discuss the potential impact of emerging technologies and new paradigms on the future of IMS enabled converged networks, with a focus on service delivery. Topics that will be discussed include:
- Control plane features for federated networks
- Architectures and design of overlay networks
- Network virtualisation techniques
- Application of peer-to-peer technologies for network management and control
- Evolution of IMS in view of emerging technologies such as peer-to-peer and autonomics
- The role of testbeds for experimentation emerging technologies at scale
This workshop aspires to answer the question, how IMS evolution can cater for the integration of new paradigms in service delivery. To address the aforementioned issues, the one-day programme consists of presentations by invited speakers from industry and academia, as well as a panel session.
The workshop is targeted at service architects and product managers responsible for deploying new services over converged networks. Technical issues will be covered at a level that will support strategic decisions.
The workshop is an event co-located with the FIREweek series of events organised by the project FIREworks in the general context of the Future Internet Research and Experimentation Initiative of the EC.
