Grandstream HandyTone 286
Step 1 - Connect the HandyTone 286 to your network
- Plug the cord(s) of your analogue telephone(s) on the RJ-11 FXS port at the back side of your HT286.
- Plug a UTP Ethernet cable connected to your network (Hub, Switch or Router) on RJ-45 Ethernet port at the back side of your HT286.
- Plug the power supply of your HT286 on the power port at the back side of your device and then on a power socket.
* If you have received a pre-configured device directly from Voiceglobe, go to step 4.
Step 2 - Verify the IP address of your ATA
The HandyTone 286 is coming standard configured with its DHCP client enabled. A DHCP sever required in your network in order to provide it with an IP address.
- Pickup the phone connected on FXS port
- Then press the red-light button on the top
- Listen the voice configuration menu and
- Dial 02 when you are prompted to "enter menu"
- Listen the IP address of your HT286
Step 3 - Use a browser to login and configure your ATA
- Open a web browser to the address: http://<IPADDRESS>/admin,
where <IPADDRESS>is the IP address of your HT286 (found previously during the pre-configuration step 2).
- Enter the default password: Admin in order to access the next, main configuration page.
On the displayed web page set the following:
- Set SIP Server to: sip1.voiceglobe.net
- Set SIP User ID to: your Voiceglobe account (Call number): 80xxxxxx
- Set Authenticate ID to: your Voiceglobe account (Call number): 80xxxxxx
- Set Authenticate Password to: your Voiceglobe account password
- Set Name to: <YOUR name>(visible to the others when you call)
- Set (or confirm) SIP Registration to: Yes
- Set Register Expiration to: 15
- Set (or confirm) SIP Registration to: Yes
- Set (or confirm) NAT Traversal to: No
- Press the Update button at the bottom of the web page, and in the following page,
- Click on link: "Click to view your changes" to go back in the configuration page, and
- Press the Reboot button at the bottom of the web page
Step 4 - Start using your ATA
- Pick up the phone, hear the dial tone, and start dialling:
